Piera Hudson has achieved a career best performance at her first World Cup of the season, skiing from start bib 59 to finish 26th in the Slalom at the Killington Cup in Vermont, USA.

Adam Hall has won gold at the last World Para Alpine Skiing World Cup of the year, claiming the fastest overall time in the men’s standing Slalom in Kuhtai, Austria. The result comes off the back of his silver-medal winning performance yesterday.

Adam Barwood successfully defended his national Slalom title and fifteen-year-old Alice Robinson went two from two to claim the women’s Slalom title as well as the Giant Slalom title earned on Monday.

The Para Alpine Skiing World Championships have finished on a high for the New Zealand team with Adam Hall earning a bronze medal in Slalom on the final day of racing in the Italian resort of Tarvisio. The result brings the medal tally to three with Corey Peters earning silver medals in the Downhill and Super-G last week.

Racers enjoyed bluebird weather conditions at Wanaka’s Treble Cone Ski Area yesterday for the first of two days of FIS (International Ski Federation) Slalom races run by Wanaka Ski and Snowsports Club.
