Para alpine skier Adam Hall has wrapped up his 2018 competition season with a silver medal in Slalom at the World Para Alpine Skiing Europa Cup in St Moritz, Switzerland.

Lake Wanaka, NZ – (6 October 2018) – The Snow Sports NZ Annual Awards Night were held at the Lake Wanaka Centre this evening.

Para alpine skiers Adam Hall and Corey Peters  have claimed an impressive medal haul at the first World Para Alpine Skiing races of the season.

Adam Hall has won gold at the last World Para Alpine Skiing World Cup of the year, claiming the fastest overall time in the men’s standing Slalom in Kuhtai, Austria. The result comes off the back of his silver-medal winning performance yesterday.

With two days to go until test events for the 2018 Paralympic Winter Games get underway in PyeongChang, Korea, Cardrona NZ Para Alpine Ski Team member Corey Peters has claimed a World Cup silver medal in Super-G.

The Para Alpine Skiing World Championships have finished on a high for the New Zealand team with Adam Hall earning a bronze medal in Slalom on the final day of racing in the Italian resort of Tarvisio. The result brings the medal tally to three with Corey Peters earning silver medals in the Downhill and Super-G last week.

More than 100 of the world’s best skiers from 30 countries have arrived in Tarvisio, Italy, for the 2017 World Para Alpine Skiing Championships which began with the Opening Ceremony on Sunday (22 January). New Zealand’s Adam Hall will compete in the men’s standing events and Corey Peters in the sitting events.

NZ Para alpine skier Corey Peters added to his World Cup medal collection overnight, claiming silver in the Super-G at the Austrian resort of Innerkrems where the first World Cup speed races of the season are being staged.

With their first World Cups of the season less than a week away, Adam Hall and Corey Peters look to be on top form. Both skiers won Super-G races in their respective classes at International Paralympic Committee Alpine Skiing races in the USA today.
