Biography:

Born in Los Angeles and raised in Hawaii, Lyon first learn to ski at Coronet Peak during summer breaks with his parents and three siblings. He switched to snowboarding following in his big brothers footsteps and entered his first competition in 2011.  

At both the 2018 and the 2019 Seiser Alm Slopestyle World Cup's in Italy, Lyon landed himself on the podium, in bronze medal position in 2018 and silver medal position in 2019. This marked the beginning of an impressive series of competition placings in subsequent years. 

Lyon has competed extensively across the globe across the past six years, with early results including a 5th placing in Slopestyle in the world champs in Secret Garden China in 2018; a second place podium in Seiser Alm Italy in 2019; 4th in the Park City USA Nor-Am Cup in 2020; 5th in the world championships event in Mammoth Mountain USA in 2023; and top 10 placings in world champs events in Canada and the USA in 2023. He also took 2nd in the Australian NZ Cup in Cardrona in Men’s Big Air in 2024. 

In the last two years, Lyon has continued to achieve top 10 placings in Big Air in world champs events in the USA and China. He competed at the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, making the final and coming 8th in Snowboard Big Air.
