Cardrona NZ Park & Pipe team members have been in action at the snowboard and freeski slopestyle World Cup in Seiser Alm, Italy this weekend.  Finn Bilous and Jackson Wells made it through to the top 16 freeski final with Finn finishing sixth and Jackson 13th. Snowboarder Tiarn Collins did not progress past semi-finals rounds and finished 12th overall.

17-year-old freeskier Miguel Porteous has gone from X Games rookie to silver medallist in one night, taking out second place in men’s superpipe in Aspen.

The Cardrona NZ Park and Pipe team has chalked up another successful round of World Cup qualifying results with the freeskiers in action on the Slopestyle course at the Italian resort of Seiser Alm on Thursday. Jackson Wells finished fourth in his heat, earning him the direct route to finals, while fifth-place finisher Finn Bilous will move through to semi-finals. 

NZ Para alpine skier Corey Peters has finished in the medals at the World Championships in Italy for the second time in two days. Peters earned the silver medal in Super-G, to match his silver medal in Downhill on Wednesday.

New Zealand ski cross racer Jamie Prebble has raced to first place in the Europa Cup in Lenk, Switzerland.

With the 2016-17 Slopestyle World Cup season now in full swing, the Cardrona NZ Park and Pipe team has travelled to the South Tyrolean resort of Seiser Alm for the tour’s third event. The snowboarders were the first to take on the six feature course for today’s qualifying rounds with NZ’s Tiarn Collins once again putting together a strong performance and making the cut for semi-finals.

New Zealand sit skier Corey Peters has earned a silver medal in Downhill on opening day at the 2017 World Para Alpine Skiing Championships in Italy.

The next generation of New Zealand freeride athletes is making its mark on the world stage, with a Kiwi landing on the podium at a Junior Freeride Tour competition for the second weekend in a row. Finn Duffy placed second in men’s snowboard at the three-star competition held in the French resort of Les Arcs on Sunday.

More than 100 of the world’s best skiers from 30 countries have arrived in Tarvisio, Italy, for the 2017 World Para Alpine Skiing Championships which began with the Opening Ceremony on Sunday (22 January). New Zealand’s Adam Hall will compete in the men’s standing events and Corey Peters in the sitting events.

The fastest snowboarders on the planet have descended on Solitude (USA) for the 2016-17 snowboard cross World Cup season's second stop. NZ's Duncan Campbell successfully qualified through to final rounds, finishing in 30th place in time trials with the top 48 fastest racers making the cut.

Wanaka athlete Louis Jones is enjoying a strong season of training and competing in biathlons in Europe. He recently earned a credible 36th placing in an Alpen Cup race in Italy.

Yongpyeong, Korea ( 19 January 2017) NZ ski racer Willis Feasey has wrapped up a successful week of racing in Korea with three top 10 placings in Far East Cups.

NZ ski racers have posted solid results on day three of the Far East Cup in Korea, taking them one step closer to their goals of qualifying for the 2018 Olympic Winter Games to held at the same venue in just over one year's time. Willis Feasey placed seventh in the men's GS, and Adam Barwood 14th. Piera Hudson finished ninth in the women's field.

NZ ski racers are hanging tough at the Far East Cup series being held at the venue for the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in Korea. Following on from Adam Barwood's ninth in Slalom yesterday, Willis Feasey has finished eighth in Giant Slalom.  Both races carry the minimum penalty  of 6 FIS points. 

Cross country skier Campbell Wright was more than a little surprised to find himself on the podium at the Ontario Cup in Duntroon, Canada over the weekend. The fourteen-year-old skier from Wanaka didn’t even have his own skis or boots with him but decided to borrow equipment from family friends and sign up for the race.

NZ snowboarder Tiarn Collins has put together another promising performance at World Cup level, finishing third in his qualifying heat at the Laax Open Slopestyle and moving through to semi-final rounds.

Racing got off to a tough start at the Far East Cup series being held at the venue for the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in Korea. Of the 91 competitors on the start list for the men's Slalom, only 18 were able to complete two runs of the incredibly icy course, including NZ's Adam Barwood who finished ninth.

The Freeride Junior Tour is off to a good start for NZ skier Hugo Cameron  who finished in second place at the first event of the season held in Verbier, Switzerland over the weekend.

NZ snowboarders Zoi Sadowski Synnott (Wanaka) and Fletcher Craig (Te Awamutu), both aged fifteen, have claimed victory in the FIS halfpipe event staged at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary.

NZ Ski Cross racer Jamie Prebble has made an encouraging start to the new year, finishing in 12th place at the Audi Ski Cross World Cup competitions in Watles, Italy.
