Biography
Born in Dunedin, Fin has lived in Wānaka his whole life. His mum and dad were snowboard instructors at Cardrona Alpine Resort, so Fin and his twin brother Cam learnt to ski when they were just three years old.
When Fin was four he was invited to forerun the NZ Junior Nationals Halfpipe event. The following year when Fin was just five he competed in his first competition, the NZ Junior Freestyle Nationals.
With his parents continuing to travel back and forth between winters, Fin has been skiing in the Northern Hemisphere during the New Zealand summer for as long as he can remember. His skiing has gone from strength to strength and in December 2022 he competed in his first World Cup event, finishing in an impressive 6th place and receiving an invite to the 2023 prestigious Winter X Games in Aspen.
Fin represented New Zealand at the Gangwon 2024 Youth Olympic Winter Games, and was part of the Kiwi cohort that made it NZ's most successful Youth Olympic Winter Games ever. He claimed the silver medal in the Freeski Halfpipe event.
In 2025 Fin got his career first World Cup podium at the Calgary Halfpipe World Cup in February 2025 and it was straight to the top step. He backed that up with an incredible World Champs performance being crowned the 2025 FIS Freeski Halfpipe World Champion.
