Martin Toomey resigns as CEO of Snow Sports NZ

Martin Toomey has resigned as Chief Executive Officer of Snow Sports NZ having accepted the role of Chief Executive Officer of Winter Games NZ.

Snow Sports NZ Chair, David Wallace, said that “the Snow Sports Board congratulates Martin on his new appointment and thanks him for his leadership of the National Sporting Organisation over the last six years. We are sad to see him go but recognise it is an important career step and we look forward to continuing the close working relationship that we have been building with the Winter Games NZ team.

“Highlights of Martin’s tenure as Chief Executive Officer of Snow Sports NZ are the integration of the Winter Performance Programme into Snow Sports NZ, the development of a national training centre in Wanaka, the establishment of official supplier relationships with Cardrona Alpine Resort, Coronet Peak, Mount Hutt and Treble Cone and the growing international competitiveness of New Zealand snow sports athletes.”

Snow Sports NZ will begin a recruitment process early in 2018 to find a suitable replacement.
