Alpine Ski Race Cancellations, Postponements and Refunds

Unfortunately, adverse weather and snow conditions have led to several races being cancelled, postponed or the venue changed. Please read on for further information. 

Mt Hutt National Points Race – 23 & 24 July

The Mt Hutt National Points was cancelled due to wind. All event registration fees will be refunded over the course of this week. 

Mt Hutt Junior Interfields Race –24 July

The Mt Hutt Junior Interfields Race was cancelled due to wind. All event registration fees will be refunded over the course of this week. 

Whakapapa Junior Interfields Race – 24 July

The Whakapapa Junior Interfield was postponed due to adverse weather. A new date will be announced soon and all registrations will be carried over. Any competitors unable to compete on the new date will be refunded their original entry fee. Please contact [email protected] if you require a refund. Once the new date has been set we will also accept new registrations from anyone not previously entered. 

Coronet Peak Junior Interfield – 23 July

Due to insufficient snow coverage the Coronet Peak Interfield has been postponed to the 27th August. Any competitors unable to compete on the new date will be refunded their original entry fee. Please contact [email protected] if you require a refund. We will also accept new registrations from anyone not previously entered.

 Coronet Peak NZYS Races – 30 & 31 July

Due to insufficient snow coverage the Coronet Peak NZYS are being moved to The Remarkables. We will hold two Slaloms instead of a GS and Slalom as The Remarkables does not have an appropriate GS slope. All competitors will be refunded the $5 difference in entry fee this week (Slalom cost is $45, GS cost is $50).

Level One Race Official Seminars – 26 & 28 July

These seminars have been rescheduled to 9am on 16 August at the Snow Sports NZ offices, 78 Anderson Road, Wanaka.
