Alice Robinson Eyes Top 10 Finish at World Cup

Spindleruv Mlyn, CZE - (7 March 2019) - New Zealand ski racer Alice Robinson has delivered another stunning performance, continuing her rapid rise up the world rankings with a 16th place finish at the World Cup Giant Slalom in the Czech Republic. The 17-year-old had her eye on a top 10 finish, skiing from start position of 32 in to ninth place in her first run but a mistake on her second run put her back in to 16th.

"I'm really happy with my skiing today and coming down in ninth after the first run was pretty cool," said Robinson.  "Unfortunately I took a little detour in the second run that bumped me back to 16th but overall it was a super great day!"

Piera Hudson finished run one in 49th place but did not qualify for the second run.

Robinson has also earned the opportunity to compete at the World Cup finals in Andorra on 17 March.
