Kappl, Austria (12 March 2019) - New Zealand athletes have achieved strong results at the pinnacle event on the junior freeride calendar with Ronan Thompson finishing just off the podium in fourth place in men's snowboard and Alistair Garland fifth in men's ski at the Junior World Championships in Austria.
Deep snow and blue skies set the scene for a spectacular competition with a stacked field of junior freeriders from across the globe.
Henry Freeman put in a valiant effort on his first foray into a 4* competition, finishing 21st in men's ski and enjoying every minute of the experience.
