 The SSNZ Freestyle Series is back for the 2025 winter season!

Consisting of the Burton Snowboard Series and the Völkl Freeski Series it travels across New Zealand with events at Mt Hutt, Cardrona and The Remarkables as well as a nationwide virtual comp!

Head to the series website here to see the leaderboard and get an idea for how the series works. 

The challenge is simple, we want to see a full slopestyle run from you. Show us what you’ve got!

We will be judging the first 5 tricks in each submission. You are welcome to add more but only the first 5 tricks will be judged. We want to see creativity, difficulty and good execution of tricks.

You will be judged by professional judges chosen by Snow Sports New Zealand.

Points from this competition are eligible towards the overall Freestyle Series awards, so let’s see your best Cyber Slopestyle run!

Entry requirements:

  • Only entries from athletes who have a SSNZ membership will be judged.
  • You must register for the event on the SSNZ website (registration is $10).
  • You can only enter one category, either U14 or Open.
  • Entry Deadline: 5 pm, 15th September.

Video requirements:

  • Must be filmed in NZ.
  • Must be filmed in the 2025 season.
  • Edit cannot contain competition footage.
  • Each entry, trick and landing must be 1 continuous clip and not edited so that it can be judged correctly.
  • Submissions should contain 5 different tricks from 5 different features stitched together into your edit.

Judging:

  • Trick creativity and execution.
  • Video creativity.
  • Trick difficulty.
