Biography

Jesse first learnt to ski when he was 18 months old at Mt Ruapehu. His family skied there almost every weekend and
holidays in the winter. When Jesse was five his Mum took a job in Wānaka for the winter and after that the family started
staying there each winter and skiing at Treble Cone. Jesse's older brother and sister were in the Treble cone racing
team, and he used to follow the team around the mountain, so they decided to let him join.

Jesse competed in his first Alpine Skiing race when he was just five years old, the Treble Cone Junior Interfield. When he first began skiing overseas in Whistler he remembers tree skiing and finding fresh bear tracks in the snow.

Jesse aspires to represent New Zealand at the Winter Olympics and compete on the Alpine World Cup circuit.

When not skiing Jesse can be found mountain biking, skating and whitewater rafting.
