About Us

Snow Sports New Zealand Incorporated, commonly known as Snow Sports NZ has its registered office at 78 Anderson Road, Wanaka.

Snow Sports NZ is a membership organisation.

Snow Sports NZ is recognised by Sport NZ, the International Ski Federation (FIS), the New Zealand Olympic Committee, Paralympics NZ, and other key international snow sports organisations.

Snow Sports NZ represents the interests of our sports nationally and internationally, including sport development and pathways for progressions in all snow sports, event hosting, promotion and administration.

The Winter Performance Programme is the high performance arm of Snow Sports NZ. This is supported by pathways for young athletes who aspire to reach the pinnacle of their sport.

We’re passionate about snow sports, and we truly believe that a positive first experience on snow leads to a lifetime of unforgettable moments and pure enjoyment.

We have a "whole of sport" approach from first time competitors through to elite athletes who represent New Zealand on the world stage. Coaching, officials and volunteers, and event pathways also make up the whole of sport approach.

Snow Sports NZ is governed by the Board of Snow Sports NZ.

Our Sports include: Adaptive Snowsports NZ, Cross Country Skiing NZ, Freeskiing NZ, Ski Racing NZ, Snowboard NZ, and Speed Skiing NZ.
