About Us

Snow Sports New Zealand is the national sporting organisation representing the interests of adaptive snowsports, alpine ski racing, cross country skiing, freeskiing and snowboarding.

Our mission is to lead and support the success of competitive snow sports in New Zealand. Unashamedly, our vision is to be New Zealand’s most inspirational, innovative, exciting and fun sport.

Our core values are integrity, leadership, accountability, communication, excellence, commitment and collaboration.

Snow Sports NZ represents the interests of our sports nationally and internationally. We are a membership organisation and recognised by Sport NZ, the International Ski Federation (FIS), the New Zealand Olympic Committee, Paralympics NZ, and other key international snow sports organisations.

Snow Sports NZ has a ‘Whole of Sport' approach from first time competitors through to elite athletes who represent New Zealand on the world stage. We offer clear pathways for progression in all snow, supporting and guiding the entire coaching and athlete development life cycle from junior through to elite-level athletes.

Our pathway begins with the Snow Sports NZ FUNdamentals Programme. This programme is designed to teach children aged 5 - 12 the fundamentals of skiing and snowboarding from the very basics right through to a high skill level.

The Winter Performance Programme is the high performance arm of Snow Sports NZ. This is supported by pathways for young athletes who aspire to reach the pinnacle of their sport.

Snow Sports New Zealand Incorporated, commonly known as Snow Sports NZ has its registered office at 78 Anderson Road, Wanaka.

Snow Sports NZ is governed by the Board of Snow Sports NZ.
