The NZSIA FUNdamentals is a national framework and educational resource for children’s skiing and snowboarding in New Zealand. It is based on developing fundamental skills in the sport of skiing and snowboarding that are fun and build on a solid base – the FUNdamentals. About: Snowplanet  offers a strong development programme for  alpine athletes of any age. They offer entry levels programmes right through Masters training.  They do this by being progressive in their training methods, combining sound skill development based on the principles of  Long Term Athlete and Skier Development model, socialization and fun. Their coaches are trained and certified by the NZSIA,CSCF or equivalent and participate in annual technical and educational updates.

The Queenstown Alpine Ski Team (QAST) is a community based society affiliated to Snow Sports New Zealand and dedicated to providing the opportunity for children and adolescents to learn and excel in Alpine Ski Racing. QAST provides a technical and competitive pathway for athletes from the age of 8 right through to FIS level, offering part-time and full-time training options.

QAST provides programmes for athletes to enhance their athletic skill, and in the process of doing so to build character. It is a place to learn core values, commitment, team work, loyalty, sportsmanship, humility and integrity.

The club is based in Queenstown, New Zealand and trains on two mountains - Coronet Peak Ski Area and Remarkables Ski Field.

QAST is one of the largest alpine racing clubs in the Southern Hemisphere and has a proud history of producing some of New Zealand's top Alpine Ski Racers, World Cup Racers and Olympians.
