Biography

Skiing since the age of three, Jackson oozes pure enjoyment on snow and is easy to spot from the huge grin on his face. While Jackson is most at home shredding the park he, like his elder brothers before him, has a background in ski racing and achieved some solid results as a junior racer.

The youngest of the Wells clan, Jackson, AKA 'Wacko' has managed to bring his own creative style to his skiing.  He began lapping the park on his home mountain of Cardrona soon after he could walk but also spent valuable time  refining his technique on the race track. At the age of 11 Jackson won gold  in the K2 age group in the Kombi race at the prestigious Whistler Cup in Canada.

In 2017 Jackson landed a bronze medal on debut at the X Games, one of the most prestigious events on the international freeski competition circuit. He was selected to represent NZ at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea and finished 25th in Slopestyle.

When he's not getting after it on snow, Jackson's just at home in the skate park and is also master of the kitchen, with some fine culinary skills to boot.
