Why does Snowboard NZ need your support?

Getting as many snowboarders as possible on the same page gives Snowboard NZ a stronger case and voice for any initiatives or issues that arise within the sport in Aotearoa. As we help more riders get into the sport, educate them and support them, we will be able to see the sport continue to grow.

Becoming a member of Snow Sports NZ via Snowboard NZ allows you to add your voice to the sport, support the sport financially with your membership fees and gain benefits associated to Snow Sports NZ.

Types of Snowboard NZ membership:

Recreational Member:

For those who enjoy shredding around the mountain, or are on the learning phase the sport.

Join up as Recreational Snowboard Member and help support Snowboard! Your membership fee goes towards programmes like: 3 Steps to Shred and FUNdamentals. We want to see more people getting on Snowboards on the snow! Tell your friends about us!

Upon registering as a member you will receive a Snowboard branded sticker pack! Membership entitles your or a parent/guardian to vote at the Snow Sports NZ Annual General Meeting on your behalf.

Competitive Member:

Membership entitles you to compete in Snow Sports NZ events at a National level or at the International level FIS events. Upon registration you will receive a Snowboard branded sticker pack and T-shirt!! Membership also gives you a voting right at the Snow Sports NZ Annual General Meeting. The fee goes direct to your chosen sport - Snowboard, for development of this sport. In addition, the fee covers the cost of your annual National or FIS licence.

Competitive Snowboard Members are categorized as follows:

Junior – entitles you to compete in the Junior Nationals and or Junior Series
Adult – entitles you to compete in events at National Level or the Junior Nationals if at school.
FIS – Competitive membership including an International FIS licence, required if you compete in FIS events.
WSF - International Para- Snowboard Licence

So how do I join?

Join up for the First Time

To join up for the first time select the type of membership you want.

Have your credit card ready.
Click on Individual Member, then Snowboard as a sport and club.
A selection of different options will appear. If you are a recreational snowboarder, select Adult or Junior (under 18) and if you wish to get a tee shirt included. If competitive select the appropriate membership type.
Fill in details and tick terms and conditions then process payment.
