Providing great entertainment for spectators the challenge for skiers and boarders was in completing the course with fluid clean runs proving competency as they took on the drops and executed tricks. The women’s field was dominated by freeskier Mitchey Greig with two good runs.  Sarah Martinais achieved second place and Sophia Mitteregger came third.

While not a qualifying event for snowboarders, a supreme display of big air and tricks was performed for the crowd, with the top three freeriders scoring highly. In the men’s field Ruari MacFarlane scored a 9.2, Colin Boyd (9.0) took second place and Phil Dominick (8.7) third.

In the women’s snowboard competition Malin Lindroos produced two clean runs to win the woman’s title, Stephanie Takarangi followed in second and Abby Peterson third.
